Inspiration

So I've been inspired lately. Not by any one thing in particular, just by life.  I can remember when the decisions I was making in my life didn't inspire me. I've chosen to include daily meditation into my life. One way I meditate is through yoga.  Yoga helps me focus on the positives in any situation. Believe it or not what you do and think makes you who you are. So If you think of negative thoughts, you will attract negativity. Lately I've been thinking more positively and positive things have been coming my way.

Back to the title of today's post, inspiration. Find something to inspire you in your daily life. Since I'm a photographer I choose my photos as inspiration to take more photos. My friend was kind enough to enlist my photography services and we had a wonderful photoshoot.

First photo challenge- over ?

Ok so the 30 day photo challenge has officially ended. It actually ended 5 days ago. Not on bad terms though. I haven't been posting everyday because I've been shooting more! I think that's a plus. So I'll be back in a few to post some of the pics I've been shooting. I love happy endings! :)

The last 2 days, March 5 and 6 I haven't been able to post to my computer, however I set up mobile blogging. I should be able to post from my mobile phone. Unfortunately, these posts haven't worked so I will post them as one post. But I swear I've been posting! You can check my phone log. :)

Here are 2 murals in my neighborhood that I love.

I am proud to say that I personally know this artist who painted the second mural. Tig Quest, a very talented graffiti artist. Till Next time!

    Love in 2010

My friend called me the night before he wanted to propose to his girlfriend. He needed a photographer and he wanted me! He even got one of his friend's to play their song on guitar. So I cancelled my plans for the next day and headed to Strawberry Fields in Central Park for this special occasion. It was the morning after the first big snowfall in December and it was beautiful! Cold and beautiful. :) I just have to say I love doing candid shoots. Thanks Peyton and Heather for sharing this special day with me.

March: 30 days of old pictures

Hello March! I have decided that every month this year I am going to challenge myself. Last month it was to incorporate yoga into my daily life. That challenge went rather well, not without a few bumps and hiccups. :) I was trying to shoot at least twice a week in February and that challenge was going well too, but I was not posting all my pictures. This month is to post everyday to my blog.

This month's theme is to post a previous picture that I have not posted to the blog or to my flickr page. I had a talk with a photographer the other day and I really need to get my photos out there for people to see and critique.  The only way you get better is to have people see your work right? Well, here I am world! :)

Here is my first picture of the March challenge. And in good fashion I'm posting this approximately 30 minutes before March 2.

I attended an event  a couple of weeks ago that spoke on black and latino relations within the the Americas. This is Rosa Clemente on the left. She is a hop hop activist, journalist and entrepreneur. She does numerous college tours and talking with her I realized that she had been invited to speak at my college some years ago. I swear I have a knack for remembering faces! I would also encourage you to look at her wikipedia page.

I've also realized that I have been neglecting the quote of the day that I said I was going to incorporate in each post.

"The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one."
    - Elbert Hubbard

Until tomorrow... paz y amor :)
